Story of NowThis is an album cover I did for the re-release of Marcus Eaton's album, "Story of Now" in 2007. The album offers intricate guitar-driven storytelling surrounding themes of "now"... politics, environment, commercial culture replacing purity of society (and so on). The art fit perfectly, but alas the release was abandoned and the art unused.![]() |
A fine pair of steampunk ElvesHalloween 2010 - My girlfriend Beth and I decided to try a mix of ideas and ended up, ultimately, as steampunk elves. Victorian-dress with some tech & elf ears to ice the cake.![]() |

TR3 "Radiance" conceptThis is my favorite of the concepts I presented to TR3 for the "Radiance" album artwork. While the feedback from Tim Reynolds and crew was very positive, Tim had a more simplified use of his photo (blown glass orb) in mind, and that is what the final artwork ended up being. The glass-blown orbs were hanging in some bar near the Gorge, in Washington State. Tim had taken the photo during his 2008 tour with Dave Matthews Band. It was a blast working on the project! TR3 & Tim Reynolds' road manager Fluffy - who is just awesome - also sent over my final artwork (really, Tim's - I just executed it for them)- that is, the actual CD release, signed:[link] . I have to say, throughout working with various musicians, Dave Matthews Band included, Tim is probably the most humble and generous guy I've met. Not to say the DMB guys aren't - they're fantastic - but I had the opportunity to eat dinner and hangout with Tim and TR3 before a show last Fall. They're truly cool, in the best sense of the term. Dance With Me -Winter Tour ed.Taking a new approach to the Dave Matthews Band firedancer symbol, this was a mockup for a 2005 Winter Tour poster for the band to sell. Another version in red was created for their annual fanclub package- unfortunately, neither ended up being used... though I must say, the demand was certainly there from fans. The idea behind this poster was to reflect the simplicty of their 2005 release Stand Up's cover, but add some intrigue and tone to reflect the winter tour. The form is much softer and smoother in design than their cover, which unfortunately wasn't done with the same care. This is going to be available in wallpaper sizes/dimensions on my dmb art site - [link] - by the beginning of December.![]() |
Everybody WakeupThis is inspired by the song of the same title from the latest Dave Matthews Band album, "Stand Up." Specifically, it targets these lines:"Our finest hour arrives See the pig dressed in his finest fine The believers stand behind him and smile As the day lights up with fire Everybody wake up If you're living with your eyes closed See the man with a bomb in his hand Everybody wake up" There are a few really subtle visuals in it- can you pick them out? ![]() |
TWIN-A:Live at Bowery BallroomA collector/promo poster for an upcoming show in NYC. It was designed to play off of the band's name- a little known fact that the lead singer was the first born of twins, hence the reference to the hospital's labeling of twin babies as "twin-a" and "twin-b."![]() |
would you like to play?inspired by the lyrics of "the song that jane likes" by dave matthews band![]() |
